On Saturday Erick and I went to a zoo
With tigers and bears and monkeys too!
We met little Freckles, a Muntjac deer
Who was full of love rather than fear 
I chilled with some chickens with feathers so soft
Until the inseparable pair wandered right off
Beautiful peacocks just roamed around free
Erick thought they might not notice if he hid in a tree
There were goats and geese and a sweet steer name Duke
He came when I called him and it wasn't a fluke!
So many animals all in one place
Put a gigantic smile on my face
From horses so big to ponies so small
This place wasn't actually a zoo at all
Because most of these animals came from somewhere
That treated them in a way that was completely unfair
From a pot-bellied pig left to fend for himself
To a sheep and an emu that were sentenced to death...
Everyone felt better in this peaceful place
Where there are trees and fountains and plenty of space!
It was a perfect day to visit these friends.
And I simply can't wait to go back again!
